A WILLING SACRIFICE

"He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away the sin by the sacrifice of Himself"  (Hebr. 9:26).

In eternity past our Heavenly Father wanted to have sons for a relationship and a love fellowship.  His spoken Word became His Son and created all things visible.  Our Father knew that His creation would sin against Him.  Even before He created Lucifer and this world, our Father foreknew of Lucifer's rebellion with a third of the angels.  Our Father wanted to have some sons to replace these that would have a choice and would choose to love Him.  Our Father knew that mankind would also sin, beginning with Adam.  His Son became a willing sacrifice that would pay the sin payment in full with His death. So the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the earth in the mind and heart of God (Rev. 13:8).

"Almost all things are purged with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission" of sins (Hebr. 9:22). When Jesus was raised from the dead, after having obtained eternal redemption, He entered the Most Holy Place in heaven with His own blood, and purified the heavenly utensils with His own precious blood (Hebr. 9:12,23). Through the blood of Christ, and through the eternal Spirit, offered Himself without spot to God (Hebr. 9:14).  We should be ever grateful and in love serve the Lord God forever! With His shed blood Christ purchased our justification and righteousness to our Father (Rom. 4:22-25).  With the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all, we have received His sanctification and holiness (Hebr. 10:10; Col. 1:22).

Christ now lives as the Mediator of the new covenant, in order that we may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance (Hebr. 9:15). When we received Christ at our Spirit rebirthing, we received the Mediator of the new covenant to live inside of us as us.  Christ is the author of eternal salvation in us (Hebr. 5:9).  We are literally saved by Christ's resurrection life in us (Rom. 5:10).  Not only was Christ a willing sacrifice to purchase our salvation, but remains an ever living sacrifice in us to do the Father's will, while simultaneously mediating in the presence of God for us (Hebr. 9:24; Rom. 8:34)!
