CREATED UPON GOOD WORKS

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Eph. 2:10, NKJ).

Our Heavenly Father chose us to be in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). The Father's eternal plan was based on His eternal Son being the creative source of all eternal things. The whole eternal plan revolves around the Father and the Son.  The Father chose to have sons, that He would Spirit birth. The Father has given to each of us a choice to make. We either choose to have a relationship and a love fellowship with Him, or we choose not to have one. Even while we were continually dead in our trespasses, the Father had already co-quickened us together with Christ (Eph. 2:5a). Paul clearly declares, that this is the Father's grace through which we are continually saved (Eph. 2:5b). We were already fully and completely saved by the very truth that our Father raised Jesus from the dead (Eph. 1:20, Col. 2:12).  Our Spirit birthed life in Christ, is 100% based and created upon good works that our Father has done in Christ.

Paul states that we are, "created in Christ Jesus unto good works" (Eph. 2:10, KJV). The Greek text appears the clearest and states, "created in Christ Jesus upon good works" (Eph. 2:10, Greek text). The Greek text uses the pronoun epi for upon in the dative sense, which refers back to the time of the Father's creative works, when He placed us in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). Paul declares, that we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves at the source (Eph. 2:8).  Spirit birthing is a gift of God, not by any works source on our part (Eph. 2:8b,9).  Spirit birthing is an eternal salvation, prepared beforehand by the Father's eternal source in Christ (Eph. 2:10).  Certainly, there will be good works for and unto our Heavenly Father that follow salvation.  Truly, the Father's good works that have been prepared beforehand, so that we could have a personal relationship and fellowship in Him, is the clear theme, focus, and declaration of Ephesians 2:10.

Our Father chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4), and placed Christ in us at our Spirit birthing (I Pet. 1:23; Col. 1:27), that we live by the life of Christ in us (Gal. 2:20). All good works were also once then created in Christ Jesus. God once then prepared these good works beforehand that we might walk in them. The Father placed Christ in us to live in us and express everything that He prepared beforehand in Christ (Gal. 2:20). Only Christ living and expressing Himself in and through us as us is genuine good works (I Thess. 5:24). All else, is simply mocking flesh. We were created in Christ Jesus upon the good works of our Father! (Eph. 2:10). V
