WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST

"For 'Who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?' But we have the mind of Christ"  (I Cor. 2:16).

Most Christians don't understand that they have two (2) minds.  Every man has the natural mind that contains all the knowledge of good and evil that we were naturally born with. Since our Spirit birthing, the Holy Spirit has been transforming a portion of that mind into the mind of Christ (Rom. 12:2).  We have choices to make, that allow us to cooperate with the Holy Spirit's process of our mind transformation, that takes place throughout our earthly walk.

One of the real reasons Christian's don't fully hear or know God's voice is that they are attempting to hear or know His voice with their natural, reasoning mind. Paul tells us that, "the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (I Cor. 2:14).  The natural mind and spirit do not contain the things of the Spirit of God.   The natural mind and spirit contain only the things of this natural world (I Cor. 2:11-12). The Holy Spirit must teach us how to compare spiritual things with spiritual (I Cor. 2:13). The Holy Spirit brings spiritual discernment through the transformed mind of Christ ( I Cor. 2:14-16).  Through the mind of Christ we will be able to discern, judge, and know all things ( I Cor. 2:15).

The divinely inspired Word of God is the word of truth.  The Holy Spirit will greatly use it to transform the mind to the mind of Christ.  Some people try to memorize the Word of God. Memorizing the word with the natural mind aside from the Holy Spirit will not bring transformation and hearing or knowing God's voice.  As important as the Word is, just realize, that it doesn't contain the entirety of the Omniscience of God's knowledge.  John said concerning just the things that Jesus did on earth, that he supposed, "that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written" to contain it all (John 21:25).  How much more, if we consider the entire thoughts and knowledge of God throughout eternity thus far.  The Holy Spirit can and will speak to us in the Spirit, of things and answers through the mind of Christ, that may not be able to be confirmed in the Word of God.  Let me clearly say, these things will never be contrary to the Word of God. There are a lot of decisions that we make where we need who, what, when, and where, that will not be directly spoken of in scripture.  We must be willing to be continually tuned to the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of truth, to speak to us the word of truth, through the discernment of the mind of Christ, where there is no direct scripture to confirm it.  The Holy Spirit will confirm it, as we ever use His discernment through the mind of Christ! V
