CHRIST-DAILY
DIVINE NATURE "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (II Pet. 1:2-4). Do we really know who we are in Christ Jesus? Do we know who Jesus Christ is in us? Our Father so loved us that His eternal plan was unfolded so that He would get some sons. God the Father would purchase the right to Spirit birth these sons through the justification of the death and shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father sent the Holy Spirit to Spirit birth us as believers in Christ. At this Spirit birthing, we received the Seed of the incorruptible Word of God (I Pet. 1:23). We now have Christ living in us. Paul said it is no longer I but Christ lives in me (Gal. 2:20). We are now living a shared life in Christ. All Spiritual life is in the Son (I John 5:11-12). We also now have the Spirit of Christ in us. Paul said, "he who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit" (I Cor. 6:17). Paul also says "if we have not the Spirit of Christ, then we are none of His" (Rom. 8:9). Through Christ's Person, life, and Spirit, we have His divine nature. We have his character and expression flowing through His divine nature in us as us. Peter lets us know that the more we know about Jesus Christ our Lord, the more we will see the grace and peace that our Father multiplied to us (II Pet. 1:2). His divine power is given to us in His Person, Spirit, divine nature in us. The Holy Spirit is renewing our mind to the reality and truth of His divine nature. Christ within us is righteous and holy. The Christ that paid for our salvation, now has been raised from the dead by our Father, and placed in us to live His resurrection life in and through us as us. The fruit of the Spirit is the divine nature of Christ in me to live as me with the expression of this divine nature. Christ in us is a self-for-others Spirit in this divine nature. As the Holy Spirit renews the mind to Christ and Him crucified (I Cor. 2:2), the more we know who we are in Christ (Eph. 1:4), and the more we know Christ in us (Col. 1:27). Our Father has called us to be His Sons, and Spirit birthed His Son in us in fullness, to be everything in us as us in our temporal walk. Every Spiritual blessing we have is in Christ (Eph. 1:3). Every promise we have in the Father is in Christ, and Christ is in us. Our Father's glory is to see Christ living and flowing in us as us doing His will in this earth with full expression of His divine nature! What grace and peace is multiplied to us, that Christ would live in this old clay pot with His divine nature! VWritten by Dwight Davis Christ-Ministries |
