CHRIST-DAILY
FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER "That which we have already completely seen and we have already completely heard, we also ever announce unto you. in order that you also may ever have fellowship with us: and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ" (I John 1:3, Expanded Greek Translation – EGT). John certainly declares that Christ, the Son – was ever in the beginning with God the Father (John 1:1). John further declares that all things created were made through Christ (John 1:2). Paul goes even further and proclaims that Christ is the image of the invisible God, the Father and that by Christ "all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist" (Col. 1:15-17). The Word became flesh and dwelt among men as Jesus of Nazareth, that He might declare the Father and that men through Him might see and know the Father (John 1:14, 18). This is why Jesus told His disciples in the upper room, just before He went to the cross, that if they saw and knew Him, then they saw and knew the Father (John 14:7,9). The Son and the Father are in union, and the Son has been sent to reveal the Father so that we can truly have a love fellowship with Him (Matt. 11:27). Everything began in eternity past in the heart and mind of our eternal, and invisible Father. Our Father placed us in Christ (Eph. 1:4), and the Lamb was slain in the heart and mind of the Father (Rev. 13:8), before Christ created the angels, heavens, earth or any other thing in this universe. Our Father wanted an eternal relationship and fellowship with us, before anything else was planned or created! What marvelous love, that our Heavenly Father FIRST put us in Christ so that we could have an eternal relationship and fellowship with Him! What marvelous grace that the Lamb was also FIRST slain on our behalf, so that we would have a fully purchased and secure eternal relationship with our Heavenly Father! What an awesome and secure eternal plan our Father has provided for us! If we just simply believe in our Father that He is satisfied with the complete sacrifice of His Son on our behalf, and by His power raised Him from the dead, we will be eternally saved by the resurrection power of the life of His Son in us (Rom. 4:24,10:9, 5:10). Out of John's eternal revelation and knowledge, he declares that "our fellowship is with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ" (I John 1:3). The Father sent the Holy Spirit to baptize us into the Body of Christ (I Cor. 12:13), through a Spirit rebirthing by the incorruptible Word of God (I Pet. 1:23) – the Seed of the fullness of His Son in Person, Spirit, nature, and life (Gal. 2:20; Rom. 8:9; II Pet. 1:4; I John 5:11-12). The Holy Spirit will keep transforming our thinking to align with the mind of Christ within us (I Cor. 2:16). The more we choose and let the Son in us use His mind and flow with His love-for-others Spirit in us, the more His life flow cleanses us (I John 1:7). The greater our fellowship is in the Son, the more we will let His love-for-others Spirit flow through us in spontaneous living. As a result, we will also have more the revelation of the Spirit through Christ living in and through us spontaneously. His Son spontaneously living in and through us with His love-for-others life and Spirit, will be the open door into that full love fellowship with our Heavenly Father. VWritten by Dwight Davis |
