CHRIST-DAILY
COMPLETE IN CHRIST "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power" (Col. 2:9-10). When the Holy Spirit came and Spirit birthed us, we received the fullness of the Godhead bodily. The Holy Spirit came in to teach us that Christ in us is the Spirit of life and the expression of life in and through us (John 16:13-15; I John 5:11-12). The Son came in to reveal the Father to us for us to have fellowship with Him (Matt. 11:27). The Holy Spirit is transforming and renewing our mind to give the Christ in us a mind for Christ's expression in and through us as us (Rom. 12:2; Gal. 2:20). Many Christians are striving to find completeness in their relationship and fellowship with their Heavenly Father. Jesus of Nazareth told His disciples, that if they had seen Him, that they had seen the Father (John 14:9). If we know Christ, we will know the Father (John 14:7). Jesus even declared that it was the Father in Him that did the works (John 6:10). Jesus was the express image of the Father in flesh (Hebr. 1:3; John 1:14). Everything that the Father is was expressed through Jesus of Nazareth. This was the Mary Body of Jesus Christ. Now, Christ dwells in the many membered Body of Christ (I Cor. 12:14,27). Every member of this many membered body is complete in Christ (Col. 2:10). Every ministry gift (Rom. 12:3-8); every Spiritual gift (I Cor. 12:4-11); and every office gift (Eph. 4:11) are all resident in Christ and now in you since the Spirit birthing. We really don't come behind in any Spiritual gift due to the fact that Christ is in us (I Cor. 1:7). Now the Holy Spirit may lead or direct us in certain areas, with certain gifts, at various times to let Christ flow through us as our function or part in the many membered body (I Cor. 12:11; Rom. 12:4). All Spiritual and ministry gifts are resident in Christ, and available within us to operate whenever there is the need coupled with a leading and direction of the Holy Spirit. We don't ever need to look outside of us. We only need to look inside of us. For we are complete in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power in us! V Written by Dwight Davis |
