CHRIST-DAILY
LOOK TO CHRIST FOR ALL THINGS "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and righteousness and sanctification and redemption – that, as it is written 'He who glories, let him glory in the Lord ' " (I Cor. 1:30-31). Many Christians look to outside sources for answers and solutions for some of the things that they face. Some are even looking to God in an outer heaven somewhere to answer their prayers. There is no doubt that our Heavenly Father, being omnipresent, dwells in an outward heaven. However according to the word, He also indwells us through Christ in us, since our Spirit birthing (Col. 2:9). We are complete in Christ, "who is the head of all principality and power" (Col. 2:10). We have the complete One – Christ, who now lives in us. We need to look to Christ for all things! Paul clearly tells us here that Christ has been made unto us wisdom. So if you are looking for wisdom, don't look on the outside, look on the inside to Christ for all wisdom (Col. 2:3). If you are looking for righteousness, don't look outside of you. Also, don't consider that you can be righteous within yourself. Our righteousness is like filthy rags (Isa. 64:6). There is none righteous no not one (Rom. 3:10). We need to look to Christ for any and all righteousness in us. There is no holiness or sanctification in us or outside of us apart from God and Christ. We need to look to Christ – who is our holiness and sanctification. There is no redemption for us aside from the finished work of Christ on the cross with his shed blood (Eph. 1:7). Christ now lives His resurrection life inside us as us in this shared life, to be our genuine answer for all things (Gal. 2:20). Our Heavenly Father has been faithful to provide everything we need in Christ. This way all glory is in the Lord. So don't look on the outside. Don't even look on the inside in any way separated or independent of Christ. That would be a lie. Since our Spirit birthing, Our Father has a new creation life for us, in a shared life with Christ. Christ in us is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. I would encourage you to look inside of yourself and look to Christ for all things! VWritten by Dwight Davis |
