DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Phil. 4:13).

The sixth step or key that Paul provides us in this series of seven (7) keys is that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  Paul clearly stated that if we worship God in the Spirit and truly rejoice in Christ, we have no confidence in the flesh (Phil. 3:4).  When the Father Spirit birthed us as His sons and put the Person, Spirit, Nature, Seed and Life of His Son in us, he had no plans for us to attempt to live our lives in the flesh.  The Father planned that we submit to the Holy Spirit for genuine Spiritual Mind transformation and renewal and that we would allow Christ within us to live in us and express Himself through us according to that Spiritually transformed or renewed mind -- the mind of Christ (I Cor. 2:16).

While Paul requested three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, the Lord's answer came back to him, "My grace is sufficient for you,  for My strength is made perfect" (or complete) "in weakness" (II Cor. 12:8-9).   While there is considerable discussion on Paul's thorn, the word defines it clearly as "a messenger of Satan to buffet me" (II Cor. 12:7).  There are several examples where thorns in the sides were depicted as enemy personalities coming against the people of God (Num. 33:55; Judg. 2:3).  The Judiazers and other demonically inspired individuals came against Paul quite often. Paul declared, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Phil 1:21).   However, we know that, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (I John 4:4).

Christ in us is our strength.   We have Christ in us who has already overcome the world (John 16:33).  We actually received 100% of the overcoming strength of Christ when we were Spirit birthed by God (I John 5:4-5).  However, until the Holy Spirit transforms or renews our mind to the truth of the fullness of Christ in us as us, we may not have that expression fully flowing in and through us.  That's why we need to first, "rejoice in the Lord always" (Phil. 4:4). Then second, we need to "be anxious for nothing" (Phil. 4:6).  As a result third, the peace of God will guard your hearts (Phil. 4:7).  Fourth, when we allow the Holy Spirit to renew our mind, we will meditate on the Christ things (Phil. 4:8).  We can then fifth, be content in whatever state we are in (Phil. 4:11). (See the past 5 days of devotions for the details on these first 5).  With Christ in us as us flowing and  expressed through the Spirit transformed mind, we can do all things through Christ! V
